PLEASE HELP... I have over the past few years purchased over 170 bottles of wine... thinking I was making a wise investment...I have no idea what I have or how much any of them are worth nor if they are still any good. Could someone please point me in the right direction of pricing and figuring out just what I have? Maybe a site where I can look up the names of them and at least put them in some type of order? THANKS :-(

Ho nmj and welcome to the board. Sounds like you have a small mess on your mitts. If you'll alphabitize your wines with the winery, Vintage date, and varietal you can e-mail it to me and I'll try to straighten out the problem for you. The other alternative is to go online to wine-searcher.com and look up each wine. Sounds like you're in WAY over your head and knowledge thinking wine is for investing. I've preached for years if you want to invest for profit buy stocks, and wine is bought for DRINKING. WW

Okay... I started putting them all down on paper a couple of days ago...and really got tired of writting... :-)

And for the record when I first got started it was just something to do and then to drink...then I caught a sale or two and then thought that this would be okay or that this might be nice.

I think most of what I have is really just for drinking...I appreciate your offer and in my down time I will get you the list. (where do I email it to?)

Thanks for responding... Hope you are having a great year thus far... (all two day of it) smile.

NMJM

nmjustme,

Buying wines while on special is definately the way to buy. Stock up while its cheap. Just be careful of making the same mistake I made. I bought more than I would drink. I bought some of this, some of that and before I knew it, my supply was greater than what I was going to drink. Its fun to go to the wine shop, try a taste and buy what you liked, but I can never make a dent in my cellar since I keep buying even though I know I have plenty at home.
