Hey there! I'm sure many people here have tried a bottle of Beaujolais Nuevo at one point or another. How is it? I'm going to buy some tomorrow and I wanted to know what some of you thought about it. Thanks!

I think you're gonna get mixed reviews, I for I won't buy it. For the price paid I can always buy more complex and tasty wines. Other than the "villages" designation they don't age and they taste too "grapy" for this old palate. I'm sure others will weigh in.

Welcome to the Wine Board. If you really want to try one, look for the one by Louis Jadot Don't keep it very long as the Nouveau fades very fast, usually by April or May.

I'm not a huge fan, but the release of the nouveau wines is my favorite time of the year. We throw a party at the winery on campus and celebrate the crush. The winedrinking year isn't complete without them. Cheers and enjoy.
