cjlevin welcome. I can't comment on the Ruffino other than '97 was a good year in Italy. The CDP is way young for drinking now as B&G tend to be very tannic. I wouldn't be embarrased to give or receive, of course I'll welcome anything in a bottle...no boxes please. [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/biggrin.gif[/img]

The Ruffino should be okay as a gift. It has its fans among Chianti drinkers.
