Chim721,

For some reason I can't reply to your post, so here's a new post with the reply. Basically, we'd have to know what prices they're taking 25% off of. If they're charging $15 for a certain wine and taking off 25%, you're paying $11.25. However, if we're selling the same wine for $12 and we take 10% off, then you get the same wine from us for $10.80. There are a lot of shops out there that offer large discounts, but have inflated prices. There's one near here that offers 15% off 1 case, 25% off two and 30% off more than two. However, they don't discount sale items (no one really does) and their sale items don't count toward the discount total. So, if you get 12 bottles and one is a sale item, you don't get any discount. We count sale items toward the total. There are many, many discounting schemes for drawing in customers, but not all of them actually give you real bargains.
