A friend of mine recently recommended a sweet wine and i was wanting to know the names of other such wines.

Hi Libbers, and welcome to the Wine Board. For a white, any riesling that does not say dry or troken on the label or any chenin blanc or Vorvray from the Loire region of France that does not indicate it is dry will suit you fine. For a red, start with Reuite Lambrusco, and see if a fruiter dry red may be more to your liking.
