I am trying to get familiarized with the wine hobby and am finding it all a bit overwhelming to say the least. Have a friend who is self-proclaimed afficionado, and they have recommended Columbia Crest as very good value wines, can anyone comment?

Welcome, vinonewbie. Tis true, the CC line are consistant QPR, (quality, price, ratio)or best buy champs year after year.
