Here's my little problem. I've recently found a 1938 Chateau Denabre Haut Médoc Bordeaux(count Georges de Bargeton) but I can't seem to find any information on it. I'm mainly looking at what price I can sell it at. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard! I can't find anything either on this wine. Which in general means that it is not a sought after nor tradeable wine. As such it is only what perhaps something to someone looking for a 1938 bottle. The wine is most likely dead, 1938 was not a great year in Bordeaux (sources www.bbr.com). Also single bottle with no probability of proper storage will not be sellable. Some wine auctions are now demanding to know where the bottle has been for the last 15 years. Sorry no good news on that.

Thanks for the answer! As for how it's been stored, it used to be in the wine cellar of my dad's old restaurant. I found it lying in a drawer recently, it was wrapped in cotton and horizontally.

Hi MTL and welcome to the board. Even 1st growths ie Lafite, Latour Mouton etc. are worthless from 38. Poor vintage as noted, and WAY past drinkability. Sorry. WW

Just a thought, but you might want to consider opening it next February on OTBN (Open That Bottle Night).
