Just got a bottle of this stuff and was wondering if it is ready to drink or should I wait.

Personally I would be a bit skeptical of a wine called "Fat Bastard". The image of Fat Bastard from Austin Powers rolling over on the pretty young actress while saying "feeling frisky are we?" is just unshakable

bakadue, "Fat Bastard" is an old British expression which describes a wine's depth and boldness...usually a chardonnay.

Uh....... I thought it was in reference to the character of a CLARET........

Big diff between a Chardonnnay and a Claret ........

The 2000 Fat Bastard is great. No problem with drinking it now or waiting a year.

Finally, the 2000 Fat Bastard showed up in a local retailer's shop this week. Now I see what you guys have been raving about! Nice juice! Bought only one, among several others, so will need to scurry back for more before it's gone. I know, stupidstupidstupid.....

It's OK. Don't you think the Chardonnay is the lead wine? Sometimes hard to figure since these guys have only been on the block a short time.
