Probably what is was worth back in 1981.

Mouton Cadet is a marketing ploy that allows the sale of mediocre wine under the Rothschild name, in my humble opinon.

The vintage charts I checked said that the 1981 Bordeaux was a good year overshadowed by 1982 which was a very good year.

Wine spectator does not get very excited about Mouton Cadet. They had no tasting notes on the 1981 in thier online database.
