I love sweet red wines, but I don't what they're called! I only know sparkling wines and that's it. I know what dry means, but what is full bodied etc. But my main question is what do you call the deep red to purple mostly sweet wines.

A sparkling wine is a regular wine tht goes through a wine producing process that adds the bubbly quality and the special texture and taste. All of these wines use to be call champaign. However, the region in France called Champaign got a legal ruling forbidding other wine producing regions outside of this area from calling this type of wine Champaign. The other regions now call their wines sparkling wine instead of champaign. If this is what you mean then this is the name. However,other dark red sweet wines are made in Italy or it could be a Sangria from mexico, a lambrusca is a dark sweet wine made in Italy to name a region. I think quite a few of these wines are made from a mixture of varietal grapes and are not aged. I understand a full bodied wine is associated with a wine that has a heavier weightier taste on the palate (skim milk vs. 2% milk vs. heavy cream (saw this example on this bulletin board.) It is also associated with wines that has 12% and above alcohol by volume. Hope this helps.
