I just recently am starting to enjoy wine myself, so I am not yet able to appreciate dry wines. Its been easy to ask for something sweet at a wine speciality store, but what can I look for on a restaurant's wine list to help me choose something I might like?

Reisling for white, Port for red, but Port's really a dessert wine. You would probably really like Moscatto Allegro, or Moscato d Asti, both very sweet white wines.
