I have a wedding coming up and I have some choices for one of these chardonnays:

Salmon Creek
Coastal Ridge
Stone Cellars(Beringer)
Sycamore Lane(Trinchero)
Forest Ville
Harlow Ridge

And for a Cab:

Alice White
CK Mondavi
Glen Ellen
Summerfield
La Terre
Prosperity

I know these are inexpensive wines, but this is for a large group of people and was wondering if anyone has experience with these wines? I need to pick one from each category. Thanks for your help.

Congratulations on the wedding! I lack personal experience with these wines. I checked cellar tracker website and some were not listed at all. Based on what I did find I might suggest the Coastal Ridge Chardonnay and Summerfield or Prosperity Cabernet Sauvignon.

I would suggest the Coastal Ridge and the Sycamore Lane...too bad you don't have the Stone Cellar offered in the Cab...that is an excellant wine.

Cab: CK Mondavi & La Terre

Ask if you can get the Stone Cellar Cabernet.
Good Luck & Congrats!

Like the previous posters, congrats on the wedding! I don't have a lot of experience with these wines. Are you picking them off a list that has been provided to you or can you pick something else?

For weddings, there are a couple of other wines that are sub $5 that might work as well. Crane Lake for Chardonnay and Pinot work, for the sub $10 category, look for Concannon which has a beautiful bottle and label that is wedding appropriate and has good wine on the inside.

You may also be interested in the wines offered at PersonalWine.com, where you can add your photo and personal info to the wine label. It is really not expensive and a very nice touch for a wedding.

This is a sister-site to this site. Hope you will check it out. I dare say that you can probably also get a 20% discount as a member of this board.... See Special Wines.com Forum Discount.
