- steveo67 - 08-23-2006 i recently heard winemaker john duval of penfolds has started to produce his own lable.any truth to this and if so will it be made available at retail shops. - Kcwhippet - 08-23-2006 He left Penfold's in time to make the 2003 vintage of his John Duval Wines Plexus, a Shiraz blend. I think he's up to three wines now, but he's only making about 500 cases of each, so chances of finding it here are a bit slim. - brappy - 08-24-2006 If I remember correctly, and sometimes that is difficult, he makes, or at least has made 2 wines. The Plexus is a SGM, and the Entity is a shiraz. Tasted these a few weeks back. I believe Old Bridge Cellars was importing 7 or 800 cases of the Plexus and a little less of the Entity. The wines are made in the fruit forward style the Aussies do so well. Of course, I believe it is actually hard to make a bad shiraz or gsm from the Barossa. mark - brappy - 08-24-2006 Just googled this and found Old Bridge Cellar's web page: http://www.oldbridgecellars.com/buy/ - This link should give you an email address to get the answer to your question. mark |
