Not at all what I was expecting, of course I had no idea what to expect. 13.0
5 by vol. probably was ? $15.

Kind of a slightly yellowed strawberry red in the glass. Aroma is minimal, a slight grapeish fruit similar to a local Catawba perhaps

Initial upfront is a light apple, quickly followed by woodiness similar to a KY or TN bourbon whiskey. A light fruitiness on the sides of the midpalate, giving way to a warmth in the back of the throat and stomach like a whiskey, (not as strong).

Lingering after taste is a bit on the bitter side, barely tasting fruit beneath it. The warmth lingers.

I guess this is sort of the Jim Beam of wines for me. Interesting, hey I like whiskey too!

I just use Jim Beam for mixed drinks, there are other more serious whiskeys I like for sippin'.

Is it me or does 13% sound a tad high? I don't know why I'm thinking 11-12%abv is more in line with rose.

The one thing I don't associate with Rose is heat.

Something wrong here, I think. Others may disagree with me though.
