I have in good condition a 10yr series (1984 - 1993)of Penfolds Grange Hermitage for sale. All offers considered.

Hi Biggles and welcome to the board. I don't normally go for open bidding but if you really want to get rid of this, e-mail me and explain how you would get the wine here, how the funds would be exchanged, and what the lowest price you'd accept. WW

winoweenie, I would envisage e-mailing the prospective purchaser a picture of the series first. We could maybe negotiate an amount but I have approx $10k AUD in mind. Getting the bottles to another country would be done by special courier.

Unless the exchange rate is 10 of yours to one of ours, you envision FAR too large a windfall. WW

Did a bit of research and found that I can get the same vertical in the U.S. from a number of different sources. The mid range of the prices is US$2450 which equates to AUS$4612.98 at today's exchange rate. What makes your vertical worth more than twice as much? Guaranteed insured shipping under ideal conditions from Australia to the east coast of the U.S. would add about US$600.
