Hi John & Mary, and welcome to the Wine Board. Certainly it depends on what kind of wine you are talking about. Sparkling wine can last several years. White wines last for a shorter time, with sweet ones longer than dry ones. Red wines should not have been in there in the first place. If they are, leave them there, but let them warm up to around 65 degrees F before opening.
