- wfsesq - 07-09-2002 Can anyone suggest how I can acquire plastic (white foam) shippers to use in bringing wine back from overseas? I am looking to maximize the number or bottles I bring back and thus need to come within the weight and dimensional limits that the overseas air carriers impose. I am located near Boston, MA and can be reached on this bulleting board or by e-mail at wfseq@aol.com. I understand that the plastic shippers are non-bio-degradeable. Therefore, anyone who has received a shipment of wines domestically should have one or more of these lying around. I am looking to acquire at least 2 12 bottle shippers and several smaller number of bottle shippers. I am interested not only in the standard dimension 750 ML but also champagne sized, 500 ml and 375 ml sizes. - Innkeeper - 07-09-2002 Hi Wfsesq, and welcome to the wine board. The best place to get them is at a winery. You have several withing easy driving distance. They normally run $10-12 for a twelve bottle case. Would send one myself, but I live further from my UPS station than you live from wineries. |
