- Drew - 05-22-2001 A good friend is visiting Niagara Falls, Canadian side in July. What wines would you have her bring back if you were I? Drew - hotwine - 05-22-2001 IK probably has some ideas on that, and perhaps Foodie, too...... - chittychattykathy - 05-22-2001 Here are a few Canadian wines (keep in mind I'm on the west coast)- Burrowing Owl-Merlot Jackson Triggs -ice wine, and whites Inniskillin-ice wine, sparkling ice wine (YUMMY!) Pinot Reach Blue Mountain-if they can find it, the sparkling wines are great! Red Rooster- Owned by a very nice Swiss couple, fantastic whites! Their GeWWurtz is great! Black Hills-Nota Bene Hillebrand- Trius Hillside-Auxerrois Lake Breeze- Blance de Noirs And if you've not tried it I would buy the Maple ice wine just for fun! Need any more??? CCK - Scoop - 05-23-2001 The Inniskillin Cabernet Franc is also worth checking out. Cheers, Scoop - Thomas - 05-25-2001 Look into Marynissan (sp); Vineland Estates; Pelee Island wines; wines produced in St. Catherine's; Chateau des Charmes; Cave Spring; and a whole lot I cannot remember. |
