I am seeking advice about a bottle of wine I posess. It is an organic 2000 Chardonnay from Bonterra Vinyards in Hopland, California. The bottle is a three liter, 2002 Sundance Film Festival limited edition. The bottle has special gold lettering and artwork to commemorate the occasion. I am wondering what a bottle of wine like this is worth to a collector, and how I could go about selling it, or perhaps auctioning it? I am not a wine dealer. I have no experience with this sort of thing and need advice about how to put this special and very large bottle of wine in the hands of someone with knowledge. Thank you.

Try winebid.com. Don't buy a new Mercedes. WW

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to keep the Mercedes thing in mind. Is winebid.com a trusted company? Have you ever personally used it? I didn't like their requirement of sending the bottle of wine to them. I also tried looking them up at the BBB, and there is no record of them??? Thanks agian.

Bonterra isn't worth anything to me - small bottle, big bottle, recent vintage, older vintage. I doubt you could get anything for this bottle, except for maybe a bit for the curiosity value, but probably no more than you bought it for.
