2000 Hedges, Fume-Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, Washington, $10, 11,200 cases. A blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Sauvignon Blanc, the marriage works well. You’ll find gobs of tropical fruit and gooseberry notes on the nose. Very clean, crisp and fruity, with minimal oak influence, this wine makes a dandy summer sipper. 88/91.

Can probably be found at discounters for $8. Case buy stuff for the crowds.

My local wine shop just started carrying this, I took some with me to visit friends last night. Think I made some converts, since we all enjoyed the stuff. And it kept the ladies happily distracted whilst the menfolks ran to the basement for some old and dusty bottles of red.

Crazy like a fox.

Gotta remember, the ladies control half of our assets and all of the <yee-haa!> in this here fair land. That kind of raw power is worthy of respect!

Yeah, and why most white wine was invented.

Fume' and mirrors, my friends. Fume' and mirrors.

Hey, this is music to my ears. I love to hear that people like a recommendation, especially when it is a home state wine.
