- Drew - 02-08-2004 This wine provided a strange drinking experience. I love malbec for it's dark berry flavors and rustic notes. This wine, though, was all about cabernet. Cassis, dark and brite berry fruit and a touch of vanilla. A nice wine with a very long finish but kinda like ordering a root beer and receiving a cola...tastes good but it's not what I ordered. 13.5%Alc/vol. $9.99 Drew - Innkeeper - 02-08-2004 One of our everyday favorites. - Tastevin - 02-08-2004 Hello Drew. I associate blackberry with Malbec, not blackcurrants. As I'm sure you know, there is also an Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon. I wonder if some have been incorrectly labeled. You strike me as a person who has an enquiring mind, so I imagine you will be getting a bottle of the C. S. 2002 for comparison. T. - Innkeeper - 02-08-2004 Both great. |
