Another wine I was sure I'd posted on as this is my 3-5th bottle. Guess this proves the old saw that the memory's the 2nd thing to go. Deep ruby. No bricking. Loads of spicy, fruity, briary notes in the nose that come over on the palate.Paired with the last of the stuffed red bell peppers. Solid entry, weighty center and a 4 lapper finish. The zinfandel has calmed down and integrated with the cab to make this a very civilized drink. Still some unresolved tannins that need another 1-3 to resolve. Good stuff. 90/88 43 by the box. 14.5% alc. WW

Pulled another of these for dinner yesterday to accompany the last of my italian tomatoe/okra concoction I had for lunch. Still going along swimmingly. No change in scoring. WW

Pulled another for lunch yesterday. Tasty juice that works with most moderately spicy foods. Seems to be fairly close to the TOIG. No change in scoring. WW

WW, everytime I try to visit the winery, they are either closed for a private party or closed for a private party. I've never had the pleasure of trying this wine.

Next time you are going to Napa let me know in advance and I think I can help get you into the inner-sanctum. Without this there's no way as they are consistantly under the gun for tastings. WW

Opened one for lunch yesterday and this brute has finally shed the considerable tannins. Tasty stuff that can handle most anything thrown at it. Went especially well with the Turkey-Basil meatloaf loaded with crimini shrooms and Maiu sweet onions. WW
