I have really liked the 2 Kalin whites I'd had in the past (a 95 Sauvignon Blanc was one of them...) so was excited to find this new(!) release in St. Louis.
Musky, honeyed-nose that was surprisingly similar to Sauternes, but in the mouth it was quite dry.
Full-bodied, musky, mushrooms and interesting nuttiness, but it really didn't have enough acidity behind it to make the flavors bright. It was interesting wine, and the $30 I paid is fairly affordable for a wine that gets that long a stay at the winery, but I'll skip it and look for the SauvBlanc next time.
