Hi. I just bought a bottle of German Eiswein from the Rheinhessen, an 83 Oppenheimer Guldenmorgen. Does anyone know an appoximate value for it and , more importantly, how good the wine is likely to be?
I paid Aus$45 or US$25

hi Greg and welcome to the board. Not familiar with the producer you have but can assure you thar the 83 Eiseweins I've had were sensational. Was the last major purchase of whites I made for my cellar. Still have 4 or 5 cases and them dudes are luscious libations. The price was right. WW

Just because they have ice crystals in the grapes they are no longer sissy whites?

No WOW.... Because the wines have a finish that says " Stuff this up your Sissy White Nomenclature and call me after the 45-second "5-Lapper" finish sucker!!! WW.
