I just got back from a 3-day trip to Walla Walla -- doing a wine article on the industry there. I am very impressed in the overall increase in quality of the wines, the growth of the industry, and the effect on the community as a whole.

The 99s tasted from barrel are going to be very good wines indeed. The 2000 fruit may even be better -- to early to tell. You heard it here first.

Yep, I heard it here first. And I paid attention & followed in your footsteps. Had a great time out there, and mentioned you a time or two as well when asked why a flatlander was touring in Washington. Aside from the fact that your wheatfields and sagelands looks a lot like our wheatfields and sagelands, that is.

**mentioned you a time or two as well**

Which promptly got you the bum's rush out the front door, no doubt......
