This could go on several possible threads including Best Buys, but since this seems to be the "Thread Du Jour", thought I'd post it here. After having it hang around for quite awhile, opened a 1998 Duck Pond, Fries' Family Cellars, Willamette Valley, Pinot Gris tonight. It was very nice, more Riesling like than Pinot Grigio like. Was almost medium bodied, with spicy, nutty, and fruity nuances. At under $10.00 was a great value to boot. Had it with well seasoned, broasted Rosemary Chicken, and it married marvelously. Go for it.

My note on the same wine:

1998 Duck Pond, Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley, $10, 1,400 cases. Clean, crisp, with refreshing fruit that makes this a fitting match for shellfish. Good value.
