2003 Fox Run, Finger Lakes, Cabernet Franc ($17.99 Bremmers, Utica). Alcohol level: 12%.
Gives you raspberries and black currets on the nose and upfront. There is more rich fruit and a dose of oak in the middle; and the finish lingers.
We matched it with Porterhouse steak rubbed with Worchestershire and EVOO and sprinkled with BBQ spice; grilled over lump charcoal and hickory chips. Also, baked potato, and spinach salad with sliced plum tomatoes, goat cheese, and vinaigrette.
