2003 Kings Ferry Winery, Treleaven, Finger Lakes, Semi-Dry Riesling ($11.99 Bremmer's, Utica). Alcohol level: 10.9%. It gives you melon and kiwi on the nose and upfront, juicy pear and mouth-watering crispness in the middle, and a soft finish. We matched it with grillpanned, well seasoned grouper; spinach; and biscuits. Made for a very nice Friday night.

This time the grouper fillets were small and quite thin, so we made them the same way we make the Haddock a'la Creme except for shorter cooking time (these fillets were much tinner). Because it was semi-dry the wine went even better with this dish because of the cream. Wonderful with the fish dish and spinach.
