- cellsworth - 12-26-2000 Hello, I am kind of new to drinking wine...I have only found a few that I like a lot and buy it by the case! I realized I like SWEET WINE, not interested in any sort of dry wines....does anyone have any suggestions on wines I should try, maybe a favorite of yours? Please let me know, I am looking forward to finding a new favorite. Thanks!!!! - Innkeeper - 12-26-2000 Is it for dinner or dessert. When answering list the ingredients. - mrdutton - 12-26-2000 Please, tell us about the sweet red's you've bought by the case and enjoyed so much. That information will give us some information about the wines you like. That way we can possibly suggest some more! - cellsworth - 12-27-2000 Well, I live in Northeast Ohio and we have a few wineries here locally. My favorite is a white wine from Ferrante Winery called White Catawba...I have tried other White Catawba's but they do not compare!! I also enjoy Eye of the Bee from the Four Chimneys Winery in New York, I am trying to hunt that down today actually. Like I mentioned, has to be fruity and sweet - I'm not into dry at all...I do enjoy a blush wine every now and then called Jester's Blush, also from Ferrante's. - winoweenie - 12-27-2000 Well MrD you done did it agin` Where in the zigfire do you see eenythin` in his posts that say SWEET RED WINES? WW Oh and by the way, welcome to the board Cellsworth. - winecollector - 12-27-2000 Just south and east of you in Pennsylvania, is Lapic Winery. They have a decent assortment of both sweet and medium dry (semi-sweet) wines, all made from grapes grown here in PA. They have a tasting room so you can try before you buy. If you'd like more info, e-mail me. - mrdutton - 12-27-2000 OOPS - I guess I added RED on my own.......
