I just tasted a half-dozen of Duboeuf's '09 cru. Definitely a good vintage (as reported), with a lot of fruit but plenty of balance and a good amount of heft for Gamay.

My favorites were the Julienas "La Trinquee," which was seriously fun but also had some depth and the Morgon "Jean Descombes" which was delicious but should hold up for quite a while.
The Fleurie "Quatre Vents" and Moulin A Vent "La Tour Du Bief" seemed less impressive to me. They were fine, but not as outstanding as the other two.
All wines between $15 and $20.

Ooo, I can't wait to try some of the 09's. Unfortunately there weren't any at my local wine store. Soon I'm sure. I did have the 08' Dubeuf and I did enjoy that.

If you enjoyed the 2008, you'll definitely want to try some 2009 (a MUCH better vintage). And do look for the village level stuff.

Will do!
