375 ml. bottle. 12.5% alcohol. Trying to drink some bottles that might be going downhill (had a 1999 Savigny les Beaunes before this--forgot to bring my notes with me so will post later). Both the 1999 Savigny les Beaunes and the 2001 Beaujolais-Villages were still doing fine.

Color purple but a faded purple perhaps. Very slightly grapey in taste. Cherries on the nose and palate. Still a fresh fruit predominant note. Paired this with chicken baked in mushroom sauce over white and wild rice.
The way this is holding up bodes well for 2001 Beaujolais Cru wines.
