This is not the Le Chêne, which was reported on here a while ago. Just the regular production. $19 in January. Mineral nose, nice mineral and citrus taste, great balance, long finish, very nice all around, classic Sancerre. Perfect with salmon cakes and avocado (I can't cook, but I married well).

Always a reliable producer for good, sound, characteristic wines. I hear the 03 (like most) is pretty fruity and somewhat cloying. 03s are not my style of Sancerre for sure from what I've tasted so far.

I also had the 2002 Croix du Roy a while ago. I thought that having the name of the vineyard on the label would mean a better wine, but I did not like it nearly as much. Just OK, won't buy again (but I will buy more of the regular Sancerre). Also $19.
