Looking to try a White Loire (have a red Loire cab franc I will soon pop). Don't have much around here for white loire. One that is available is this one for $14

1999 Puilly-Fume Domaine de Saint-Laurent l'Abbaye (Jean-Claude Chatelain - Propreitor)

Anyone had this, any tn's?

Unable to find any TN's on it, only its inclusion on a restaurant wine list for $43. I would expect the '99 to still be a bit green, with herbacious notes dominant. But at that price, it's worth a try. If it shows promise, buy some more to put down for a while.

This is all I could find also.

Barnsey, IMHO a Loire SB does not have to be five years old in order to enjoy it. That includes Puilly-Fume. Check out this site: http://www.wines.com/ubb2/Forum18/HTML/000025.html . We like almost all whites as soon as we can get them. As soon a WW gets back we are all going to get a lecture on this subject.

Light yellow green hue. nearly clear. Apples on the nose and palate. Strong, refreshing acidity. It has plenty of fruit and acidity. It could stand a few years in the bottle to develop a little more character over the middle and back of the palate.
