I can already read thoughts accusing me of killing babies, but I couldn't wait, and I'm glad I didn't.

$24, 13%, purchased in 1/06. It is so dry it smells dry - and mineral. On the palate it is more mineral, a little grassy, and whey-ey (and really, really, really dry). The finish lasts a good thirty seconds. Just great.

And yes, I am glad I had it when it was so young, because it will give me an even better reason to look forward to the other 13 bottles that will be resting for five to fifteen more years.

Or maybe I should have one sooner, just so it's not thirteen.

One of my favorite houses in the Loire -- pretty good vintage to boot. I'm having trouble leaving my 95s alone.
