This thing is STILL ALIVE!! Ok...maybe all downhill from here but still pretty good.

Dark golden color, perhaps some oxidation as cork was soaked through and some mold on top. Reserve nose, apple. On palate, green apples, pear, a lot of minerality, stony, , short+ finish but good persistence, and a hint of bitterness at the end. Nice and happy to have caught it here.

Not the best of vintages, but Loire Chenin is almost ageless. I've had 50 y/o versions that were still hanging on.

I have quite a few Loires from the 80s resting in the cellar -- they'll hold.
