Great dinner wine. Dark fruit, herbs, minerals... Good balance, plenty of acidity.
Delicious, without being remarkable enough to detract from dinner. (Is that damning with faint praise? Is it praising with faint damnation?)

I like Saumurs and will be picking up one Saturday in Raleigh that I ordered after a wine dinner in April.
