Sancerre Porte du Caillou

$14. Nice floral nose, mineral feel and some white fruit on the palate, not enough acidity and generally not enough anything. What it had was fine, there was just not enough of it. It tasted like the inexpensive sancerre that it was.

Pouilly Fumé Porte de l'Abbaye

$14. This was much more distinctive. Floral nose, grassy palate, more interesting acidity. I liked it and would like to taste it again in a couple of years - I will get a bottle or two for that purpose.

They sound very nice, and nice prices too.
