$17 at Total. I try a red sancerre every few years to try to understand the attraction. I didn't get it this time either. Nose and palate of cut grass - the bad kind. No trace of pinot. A bad wine. It was probably too young, but a lot would have to happen in the aging process for this to be good someday.

Thraz, the best red or rose' Sancerres I have found are from the Cotats--Pascal and Francois. They are quite subtle as reds but very drinkable and food friendly (picnic or other outdoor occasion for instance).

Thanks - they seem hard to find but I'll keep my eyes open.
