$16 at Total. Old Vines, 12.5%. I loved the 2002, and did not like the 2003 (for reasons opposite to what I have otherwise learned from this board about 2003 Loire: I actually thought the 2003 was much too acidic, although I only tried one bottle). The 2004 is very nice. Tasting a 2004 Sancerre now might seem like infanticide, but I was curious, and I still can't get myself to buy a case without tasting - and by the time I wait sometimes the wine is gone from the shelves. So, the 2004: very floral nose, great balance, a bit of a grassy palate, maybe because it's so young. Enough to make me want to get a few more bottles, and hopefully this means 2004 will be (was? wine gives you a weird sense of time) a good year for Sancerre.
