Hi Everybody, my name is Matt and I don't know the first thing about wine. I am cooking some Lasagna for about 12 people tonight and would like any advice on what wine to serve with it. It is a beef lasagna with marinara sauce and ricotta cheese. There will be a salad before hand and garlic bread during. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a lot! I am in college too so not too pricey

Hi Mat, and welcome to the Wine Board. Depending on heavy the wine drinkers there are; you will need between four and six bottles. I would go with six. Look for a Salice Salentino or a Primitivo. You should be able to find either for less the $10 per.

Just had my favorite Salice Salentino with cheese ravioli with homemade sausage tomato gravy. Mmm-mmm-mmm! $10.00 a bottle around this neck of the beach.

Ah, but if you want a better lasagna, no beef, use pork.
