2004 Domaine de la Batardiere, Muscadet Sevre et Maine, Sur Lie ($9.99 NH Liq Store). Alcohol level: 12%.
This one showed a lot of citrus on the nose and upfront, and gave some minted honeydew melon and earthy complxity in the middle. The finish was lovely.
Matched it with Chesapeake Crab Cakes, local small purple potatoes roasted with EVOO, and green beans almondine. Simply great for a Friday night.
Not quite as good as the Chateau de la Ragotiere, but a perfectly good substitute if it isn't available.
