I hadn't tried a Vouvray from the '06 vintage yet, so I picked this up at Whole Foods for $18...
It hits all the right notes-- honey, intense minerality, some green apple/ quince, with typical young Vouvray acidity, but there's something a bit off with the balance that makes me wonder if it'll age as well as these wines can. It's good, but lacks that laser-beam focus that good young Vouvray has. I liked it, but won't be cellaring any.
