You'll find folks from all over the world here, Jane. And welcome to the board, BTW.

Thanks people,

What is the general procedure on this site? do people send e-mails in response or post information on the board ?

- Innkeeper - 09-21-2001

Just post your questions, comments, and/or opinions just like you made this post. If you have a personal question for a member feel fee to e-mail if he/she has an address in their portfolio.

Usually posts to the board, although an occasional e-mail makes the rounds. Welcome. It was very nice to see UK support at Bush's speech last night.

As I am sure you are aware we Brits do have a special relationship with you Yanks. What happened saddened us all. Although I cannot speak for all people in this country, everyone I have spoken to is indeed horrified at the events of last week. However I will not go into that now.

I will post my replies to this site as advised and thank everyone again for their kind responses and welcoming messages.

I don't know what you all are up to this weekend, but I am planning to eat, drink, be very merry and have a good dance.

Toodleoo

Where is Stamford Lincs?

Drew

- janechristina - 09-24-2001

Sorry, suppose I should have said Stamford, Lincolnshire- it is a small town 100 miles north of London. It is approx 1,000 years old and is a very typical town that you would probably see in quaint books of England. Cobbled streets, beautiful views etc.. there is a web site at www.stamford.co.uk where you can see what it is like.
Bit hung over today chaps, did drink, was very merry - not much dancing though.
