- dozer - 02-25-2008 so still some good comfort food on the menu. what would people recomend to go with a chicken or turkey pot pie? - wineguruchgo - 02-25-2008 I would go with a low oak (french)chardonnay, bubbly or Pinot Grigio. Again, low oak and high acid. The sauce in pot pies tend to be gelatinous and the acid will cut through it. - Tilen - 02-25-2008 hey there, its white meat so it should be white wine in theory. Since its potatoes involved and its probably gonna be greasy i think you could choose a nice and oily riesling which could be ql, cause the german ones (that you probably have a lot of in the USA) have a lot of acidity that will clean your palate. Id recommend making te pie with red onions and choosing a riesling or pinot grigio. BR T |
