I know what you mean, though. I like of lot of what he says -- alternative views are always good. I think he is spot-on, for instance, on Rieslings -- as perhaps the world's greatest food wine (I don't think it's the greatest, but it certainly is one of the best). Anyone who goes through the trouble of airing out strong opinions, however, is bound to run into skirmishes. Therefore, I'd recommend the The Wine Avenger to anyone. Even when you think he's wrong, what he says is at least thought-provoking. And the price, after all, is not so hurtful.
