It's nice reading everyone's posts...especially when I can't have any.

Tough week for travel (though really only short haul flights which have made it a bit saner..)

Last night's dinner wine consisted of a long opened glass of Sterling Merlot at $9 a glass in a Cleveland bar......

Tuesday: Chicago - Some inconsequential Cab at Fogo de Chao (which I really like... the food that is...I find Dallas has the best version of this restaurant so far for me in the US)
Wednesday night - dinner at nick's pizza at the Indianapolis International Airport... Snack at the Toronto Int Airport.... sandwich or something that felt like that....
Thursday night - the above mentioned Sterling in Cleveland.....

Four cities, three days...Next week when I get to Vancouver...I AM GOING TO SPURGE ON A GOOD BOTTLE!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Just got a rec on Fogo de Chao here in Baltimore, Inner Harbor area, and folks sez it's very good, but expensive. I'm looking forward to dining there.

Boston,

In boston, there are a smattering of these Brazilian barbacue restaurants, may that go and charge by the pound (a few are across from KC's store ). For those, the side dishes are more authentic, rice dishes, fishes, etc and the meats are reasonable. ...a lunch at these generally costs me $6-7 dollars and dinner around $10. Fogo De Chao's rates are $48 per person in Chi-town plus wine and others. The meats are always nicely done...but how many can you eat? There are sixteen cuts.

If you go, remember to ask one of the servers to send the guy out that does the beef ribs. It is a very tender cut (they only cut the meat from on top of the ribs) and it is very tender. Unlike the other meats, they do not bring this one around....

So is it better? They have a good salad bar...do not over eat here. the selection is good and tasty but you will be too full to eat anything after. .. Dinner with a glass of wine and coffee for me was about $80 a person with tip. I had one glass of wine....... and lots of water I'm not so sure that it is $70 better than my local joints but it is a very reasonable dining experience.
