What's going on with the weather in northern California guys? Are the vines washing away yet? The news makes it sound pretty dire.

Haven't talked to any of my friends there but will this weekend. The Napa river is looking quite bloated also. WW

Check out this forecast for Napa. 100% chance of rain today and tonight, 90% tomorrow on top of what you already have. Any preditions on how this will affect the vintage? When is harvest time, next autumn?

Vines are dormant at this time. Has happened many times before and the following vintages have been from great to excellent. WW

My brother blamed me for this! LOL! I just returned from spending Christmas with him and his family. The last time I was there the same thing happened.

The year? 1997. hehe!

This has been happening for eons. The reason we're hearing about it more now is the permenant population of the areas. Talked to Fred Scherrer tuesday and he said he remembers watching the Russian River rise every December when he was graowing up and flooding the same places. Now with the influx of people in the area they have been building closer and closer to the flood plains. The same with the Napa river. WW
