Benjamin was born a week late after inducing labor (came on January 3rd so missed out on 2006 tax deduction or being the first baby of the New Year at the hospital). Weighed in at 9 lb. 3 oz. and over 21 inches long! Not sure how 2 1/2 year old Meredith feels about the "intruder" but the rest of the family are elated. My sister will go back to Connecticut January 28 to babysit and help out for a week or two as the Mom goes back to teaching college history classes.
