I'm going to dinner tonight but I'm not sure what kind of wine to order. I'm looking for a moderately inepensive bottle of nice wine to go with Italian food. Most likely red wine. I really don't know much about wine, so if you could help me that would be great. Nothing real fancy. Let me know if you have any suggestions. thanks.

Hi Eugene, and welcome to the Wine Board. If tomatoes or tomato sauce is involved you need a red wine with high acidity. Both an Italian Barbera or Chianti would fill the bill.
