Been off the air the past few days. We had a wild ice storm and lost power since Thursday. It came back on about two hours ago. We've been living with the wood stove for heat and the grill for cooking. Sure makes you appreciate the "modern" convenience of electricity.

Yep. Living in the northeast means keeping a sizable woodpile nearby.

I used to think I'd love to live in Vermont, but lately I'm rethinking that idea. I hope you folks up in New England get back to normal soon. Oh wait a minute...maybe that IS normal weather for this time of year!
Fahgettahboudit! Brr!

KC, I'm not too far away from you yet I have no trace of any problems (Thank god). I know people that had jsut horrible stories about helping older relatives out of nursing homes that had no more power...

I can definately empathize. We've been in the high 60s' all week-end and now RAIN is in the forecast. Out with the long-undies. WW

We're expecting 70's at the end of the week. It may be warmer here than in Phoenix!

We got our powa back at 11:30 am (Tuesday). It had been out for exactly 4 and 1/2 days. When we moved here we were sure to put in a generator as we are deep in the woods. It does not cover our digital phone (did have a cell), TV or computer, or the electic over, microwave, and warmer, or dishwasher. We did have stovetop, toaster oven, refrigerator, freezer, well, furnace, bathrooms, and about a third of our outlets. Our daughter's family of five stayed with us for three nights. We had to have the 125 gal propane tank refilled twice! The generator drinks propane!

Time for a bigger tank. We use a 500 gal. tank at the ranch.

Fill that sucker (preferablly the 550 size) wif' wine then done make no matter! WW
